I saw a webinar a few years ago with ClickBank University and to tell you the truth I was very impressed. But like you said what I realized was that they are really expensive. Nevertheless, many members have said how ClickBank has made them some really good money. I agree with you, the Wealthy Affiliate University platform has the best online training by far.
Sadly, it has and still IS going on. When I finally decided to leave WA and not renew at the roughly $400 gold member membership price, WA changed the websites email holder to no longer for example to be mike@lovelightsllc.com but to mike@domainshield.com. I have had several agencies contact the owners of WA to rectify this plan and I have even been emailed directly saying that they have “fixed the problem”.
But believe me, they don’t know shit about what they are talking about. They don’t even know what is inside that training program that they are promoting. They just want you to buy that crap so that they can make money from your pocket. Stay away from those scams. Because if anything is bad, then the seller will lure you with discounts, offers, and bonuses.

First of all, I’m not saying you MUST host your website at ClickBank. But if you’ve started building website using their Builder tool, it’s hard for you to move it somewhere else, not because they hold “hostage” to your website. It’s because the contents are built in such a way that it can only be shown properly using their Builder. When you move your website to somewhere else, you have to spend a lot of time re-doing all the content to make it look visually appealing. You get my point here? This is just like many other content/page builders. Once you stop using the plugin, your content is no longer readable.
3) For the bank account, I don’t think it’s necessary to set up a business account or something. I’m not really familiar with the banking system and the rule just yet. But a lot of my friends are doing well with normal bank accounts if I’m not wrong. Anyway, most of the time, your affiliate commission will be paid to your PayPal account first. After that, you can then transfer it to your own bank account if you need the money.
I came across this ClickBank university, recently during the summer of 2017. I am not sure if it was the updated version but, I am glad you reviewed this product. I almost signed up with them, thinking that they would actually provided answers to building a business. For some reason, I changed my mind. Probably because, I knew it had a catch to it somewhere. And, after reading this article. I can clearly see why I did not sign up.
The weekly live Q&A webinar is done by Adam and Justin where they answer members questions and help them solve their problems. The webinars are also recorded so that other members that missed it can watch it anytime they want. This is a good platform for members to seek advice and get instant feedback from professionals as the session is done live.
4) For your last question, I’m not sure what’s the “Wealthy Academy” or “WH Academy” you’re talking about. I suppose you’re talking about Wealthy Affiliate? Anyway, I understand that you’re looking for a place to get a basic step-by-step training to help you get started on doing the real thing. So, I do recommend you to sign up with Wealthy Affiliate. It’s a platform which will provide you with step-by-step training from scratch, teaching you how to set up your own website, things like that. It CAN be worked with the basics but it will take you a long time to get them working using a host sublinked website and just 2 before you have to pay for your domains which one should want to do even for the 1st two so you do not have the long sublink. I wouldn’t buy from a sublink. I would think it is a trap or a “sneaky” website more so than a “trusted” dot com site. That is why it is ALWAYS worth paying the $11.99 or $12.99 for the domain registration, for the MILLIONS of people like me in the computer security field.
Clickbank University (CBU) has some pretty good affiliate training, but not my #1 choice. I’ve been doing this stuff for almost a decade now. If you want to be an affiliate and build affiliate websites, then you are better off learning about that stuff from this affiliate training center. They’ve been around for 15 years, and have produced thousands of success stories (some of which I’ve personally mentored, since 2012).
The trainings are given through easy to follow videos and supplementary PDF’s presented by Justin Atlan and Adam Horwitz. Why I say the videos are easy to follow is because they’re only 3 to 5 minutes long. Which means essentially your concentration will be at its peak the whole time and you’ll get most of the information (tons of quality ones) by the end of every video. Some of the topics discussed include:
