Email them and ask if they'll promote it. You'll be surprised! It does help if they know who you are first, but this is easy enough to do. Follow them online, Re-Tweet their stuff, comment on their FB and Twitter posts and add VALUE. As you may or may not know, to transfer a site you need to get the EPP code and then point the servers at the new host.
