Wealthy Affiliate never lock any website. As long as you have purchased your own domain name, it’s yours 100%. For hosting, WA doesn’t charge any additional charge for web hosting. It’s included in the membership price which I mentioned earlier on. If you’re referring to the domain name, one domain name costs around $14 to $16 per year. So I really don’t know what’s the expensive hosting you’re talking about.
Hey, I love this article thanks! I’m a complete novice and have found it very confusing with all the options on courses and opinions about them. I really like the look of ClickBank University but I can’t decide on it because of the price. I understand it has a ton of features but because I’m worried I’ll take too long learning and not all the modules are available to me immediately, resulting in me over-spending or losing interest. After reading your review I can see how good it is and it’s worth the money but then again in this review they love ClickBank University a bit too much, so not sure if they are just saying it’s great (link removed by editor). If you purchase Thrive Architect this plugin alone, it’ll be a one-time fee. However, there’s an option for you to purchase their membership which allows you to gain access to all Thrive plugins and themes (this is a very good deal in my opinion). In this case, it will be either a quarterly fee or a yearly fee depending on your choice. Thrive Themes does provide a lot of training and support to help its customers so don’t worry that you don’t have the technical skill to use it. It’s all drag and drop. They make it so simple that anyone can handle it.
Summary: ClickBank University 2.0 has a solid course with useful tools to help people create their own digital products, market it on ClickBank and make money. They also have a set of course to guide people in affiliate marketing but the information is limited and outdated. In addition, CBU has a high-ticket upsell which they did not reveal to you upfront. So, take note of that!

I purchased Clickbank Builder, unfortunately, a while back ago. They promised that certain templates for different niches were “coming soon” and that you could build “unlimited membership sites. They added only about 1 or 2 new templates in the past 240 days since I purchased it and there is no way to build a membership site. Since I am passed 30 days, they won’t refund me, nor have they directly answered my statement about not delivering on a product they are marketing. Scandalous!
Sadly, it has and still IS going on. When I finally decided to leave WA and not renew at the roughly $400 gold member membership price, WA changed the websites email holder to no longer for example to be mike@lovelightsllc.com but to mike@domainshield.com. I have had several agencies contact the owners of WA to rectify this plan and I have even been emailed directly saying that they have “fixed the problem”.
3) For the bank account, I don’t think it’s necessary to set up a business account or something. I’m not really familiar with the banking system and the rule just yet. But a lot of my friends are doing well with normal bank accounts if I’m not wrong. Anyway, most of the time, your affiliate commission will be paid to your PayPal account first. After that, you can then transfer it to your own bank account if you need the money.
